Fitting the new brake pipes began today. The Armacune pipes went into the rear axle pretty well. This job looks tricky on paper - it is described in the Haynes manual and good instructions also came with the new kit from Bonapart - but in fact it is pretty straight forward once you get down to it. There are two supporting brackets each side that live within the rear axle tube. Drill or grind the rivets away and refit them using the nuts and bolts provided.
The rear brake adjusting bolts and bleed nipples were pretty well seized along with the brake pipe unions. Plus-Gas and heat got them shifted, but one of the bleed screws was pretty mangled. New ones were required.
